Secretary’s Report

The May 11, 2025 meeting was called to order by Gary Halverson, President at 4:05pm. We had 14 in attendance for the meeting. Gary asked if there were any additions/deletions to the Apr report. The minutes were approved.

 Treasurer’s Report given by Stella:

Current balances as of 3-31-2025: Checking $1752.86 Savings $2132.63 Total $3885.49

New Business:

Slate of officers were reviewed and voted on. Officers will be: Gary Halverson, President, Chris Rudolph, Vice President, Stella Tandy, Treasurer and Darlene Douglas, Secretary.. We are going to Holt Canyon on Thurs, May15.. Meet at the Women’s Center at 7:45am for 8:00 departure. Discussed how to recruit new members. Develop Brochure , Business Cards and flyers for Rock Shows and local businesses. Ed and Susan shared Geodes from Milford. Gary and Fran shared cut Septarian Nodules.

Trip Report

 We had 5 vehicles and 11 members that travelled to Holt Canyon. . We all found great pieces. We also stopped at the cemetery on the way out and scouted around. Found a few more nice samples. Weather was perfect..

Presidents Report

Thanks to Chris for agreeing to take on the VP role for 2025/26 year and thanks to the rest of the group for continuing in their current roles and of course all our members for making the Outdoor Club a fun group. I heard you guys had another great trip and some good Jasper finds. Hope everyone has a great summer and I look forward to seeing all of you in September and another fun season of rock finding.
